Jeton Neziraj is a playwright from Kosovo. He was the Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Kosovo and now he is the Director of Qendra Multimedia (, a theater production company based in Prishtina. He has written over 20 plays that have been staged (over 40 productions) and performed in Europe as well as in the USA.

His plays have been translated and published in more than 15 languages, such as: German, English, French, Italian, Polish, Macedonian, Slovenian, Croat, Rumanian, Bosnian, Spanish, Turkish, Bulgarian, Serbian etc.

Neziraj was Professor of Dramaturgy at the Faculty of Arts - University of Prishtina.
He is the author of many articles on cultural and political issues, published in local and international newspapers and journals, as well as being the author of various books, including a book on the Kosovar actor Faruk Begolli. He has given speeches and has run theater workshops at several universities, festivals and conferences throughout the world.

As a playwright, he has worked with theatres and companies such as: Volkstheater (Vienna), National Theater of Wales (Cardiff), Turkish State Theater (Istanbul) Luzerner Theater (Lucern), the National Theatre of Kosovo (Pristina), National Theater of Montenegro (Podgorica), Istanbul Municipal Theater (Istanbul) National Theatre of Macedonia (Bitola), Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden (Wiesbaden), Schlachthaus Theater (Bern), International Theatre Festival MESS (Sarajevo), Bitef Theater (Belgrade), Albanian Drama Theatre (Skopje), Teater de Vill (Stockholm), The Internationalists (New York), Markus Zohner Theater Company (Lugano), L'Espace d'un instant (Paris), Gare au Théâtre (Paris), the Oda Theatre (Pristina), Geral W. Lynch Theater (New York), theater nomad (London), Yale Drama Coalition (New Haven) etc.

He wrote the screenplay for the feature film "Donkeys of the Border", that had its premiere in October 2010 and since than has been shown at various international festivals.

His play, "Liza is sleeping" won the first prize in a national competition for Albanian plays, organized by the Publishing House, "Buzuku" and it had its premiere in the National Theatre of Kosovo in 2007.
He is the 2011 winer of the INPO prize for "Accelerating the debate".

Neziraj is member of the European Cultural Parliament, Director of the Board of the National Theater of Kosovo, and Kosovo coordinator of the EURODRAM network. He was board member of Dokufest (Prizren), and Kosovo patron for the New Plays from Europe Festival in Wiesbaden.
